Condition
Attractive dark green black patina, with some patina rubbing visible. There is some surface dirt, mainly visible in the crevices. This work is in very good condition.

Catalogue Note
The original wax model for this work was executed between 1982 and 1900 and cast in bronze after 1919 in an edition of twenty examples lettered A to T, plus additional casts labeled HER, HER.D and AP, reserved for the Degas heirs and the Hébrard Foundry. The number 19 refers to the subject number, which was assigned to the work when it was included in the first exhibition of Degas sculptures at the Hébrard Foundry in 1921.
