- AN 18K YELLOW GOLD, ENAMEL AND PEARL-SET MINUTE REPEATING HUNTING CASED WATCH MADE FOR THE CHINESE MARKETCIRCA 1900
- 18k gold and enamel
- diameter 55 mm
• jeweled movement, polished steel hammers repeating on coiled gongs • gold and glazed cuvettes • white enamel dial, Roman numerals, blued steel hands, outer track calibrated for chronograph • cover with polychrome enamel portrait of a lady adorned by roses, translucent red enamel on engine-turned ground, rear cover with polychrome enamel with Watteauesque figures, split-pearl set bezels, chronograph and repeating pusher in the band • unsigned
Condition
The movement is running at the time of cataloguing and it is repeating, however the chronograph is not functioning and will require restoration. Dial is in good condition. The repeating pusher is a little worn to the corner but overall the case is in good condition.
