(Augustanus Nikolaus Rugendas) with rectangular plates, fusee for the going train, standing barrel for strike, verge escapement, modified balance cock, hinged gilt brass door to base fitted with the bell • shaped molded ebony base with glazed panels at the front and back within gilt borders engraved with running leaf tips, raised on tall bun feet • Aureole possibly associated, the base stamped EBEN and with Augsburg pine cone

The movement with some alterations, with modified balance cork. The child not secured tightly to the arm and flops; will need to be resecured. The pointer is later and aureole also probably later, as indicated. Running inconsistently, will require service.

Nicolaus Rugendas, the Elder, a maker of repute is recorded as being a Master clockmaker in Augsburg in 1637.
