- Asian elephant ivory
cut vertically, with traces of polychrome and gilding.
Condition
Age cracks and surface wear throughout. Rubbing and losses to pigment and gilding. Her proper right hand probably later and re-attached. The whole piece is cut vertically with a flat back and has 3 modern metal brackets attached with screws to stabilize laterally against cracking.
