Condition

On paper laid down on canvas; surface is clean and painting is presentable as is. there is overall very good retention of the paint surface and lovely detail on the figure of the horse. under UV: there is retouching over what appears to be an old tear in background to left of horse's back legs with a small amount on one of the legs, and another lower right foreground. other retouches in background around outer edges and a few in foreground. figure of the horse looks very good overall. In a gilt wood frame with some nicks and abrasion to gilding.
