Condition

Very fine and rare model, precise in all details. Good sandcast with light brown patina. Minor surface dust in the crevisses consistent with age and handling. Very good bronze.

Catalogue Note

Ce bronze à trois figures est illustré et décrit comme un modèle florentin du XVIe siècle dans le catalogue de 1914 de F. Goldschmidt. Acquis en 1891 dans l'ancienne collection Ch.F. Murray, le musée de Berlin en possède un bronze identique au notre. Une autre version figurait dans une vente Partridge à Berlin en 1913, sous le n° 36.
