Catalogue Note
The sketch by Wolpert for the sculpture commissioned by the consignor and her husband for the occasion of the recitation of the Birkat-ha-Hamah, and sold Sotheby's, New York, 19 December 2007, lot 89. The inscription Wolpert chose is taken from Judges 5:31, "But they that love Him be as the sun when it goeth forth in its might."
