Description

  • platinum, gold, diamond, enamel, necklace
The garland style link necklace composed of plaques applied with pale greenish-blue guilloché enamel and foliate style openwork links, set throughout with small old European-cut and rose-cut diamonds, length 15¾ inches, center plaque engraved 'Sybil' on the reverse.

Condition

General surface wear to the mounting commensurate with age. Evidence of lead solder where gold backings meet the platinum tops of the enamelled plaques, but this appears to be original. Enamel remains in good condition. The near colorless diamonds are decorative in quality. A delicate piece that should be handled with care.
