modelled probably by Johann Joachim Kändler, the laughing figure with his right hand upraised and his slapstick in his left hand, dancing before a tree stump on a low mound base applied with a flowerhead and leaves.
Condition
His right hand broken at the wrist and restored back. Otherwise, generally good condition.

A similar figure from the collection of Jack and Belle Linsky was sold at Sotheby's, New York , May 21, 1985, lot 52, and another, from the Estate of Nelson H. Rockefeller, was also sold at Sotheby Parke Bernet, New York , May 11, 1980, lot 191.
