- length of lemon tureen 6 1/4 in.
- 15.8 cm
each naturalistically modelled resting on two leaves. Together with two Continental melon tureens and covers, each modelled resting on a plate. 8 pieces.
Condition
All with occasional small, typical chips or glaze chips, especially to the edges.
Lemon tureens: One with with a fine hair crack forking from the end that is attached to stem of the leaf-form stand running towards the center of the tureen; the stand has a 3-1/4 inch shallow chip to the edge. The other also has a fine hair crack in the cavetto area; the leaf-form attached stand is chipped on one of the leaves at its tip.
Melon tureens: The melon on a circular plate has large sections of each of the applied leaves broken away, as visible both in the catalogue and online catalogue illustrations. The end of the stem has also been chipped away. The other melon has an approximate 1-inch chip to the the flange of the cover and 2-inch area of chipping along edges of the two leaves and a 1-1/2 inch chip to the top of the third leaf.
