A HOCHST PORCELAIN FIGURE OF A DWARF CIRCA 1760-70

dressed as a Spanish general, standing on a pedestal with his right arm extended, puce wheel mark. Together with two Frankenthal figures of gentlemen, each modelled seated with his right arm extended on a scroll-molded base, lion rampant mark in underglaze-blue.

Condition

The Hochst figure: with an approximate 3/4-inch chip to the back of his hat and a repaired half-inch chip to the front of the brim, as visible in the catalogue photograph. The sword is broken on two ends. There is also restoration to his right hand. Frankenthal figures: The one with the green hat has his left hand missing; his right hand is restored. There are two small restored areas on the brim of his hat. The one with the black hat has a broken arm that has been glued back; his left arm and left foot are broken and restored back.
