Description
signed and numbered on movement and dustcap, case maker's mark PM on inner case. Together with a watch key in the form a pierced trellis panel and fitted leather box

cylinder movement, fusee and chain, diamond endstone, dustcap, white enamel dial with black Roman numerals, the inner case pierced and chased with grotesque head, eagle heads and landscape, the outer case enameled with a flower-draped urn surrounded by wavy champlevé translucent blue enamel
Provenance
Fanning family, probably General Edmund Fanning (1739-1818). This attribution is reinforced by a watch paper from Prince Edward Island, where General Fanning emigrated in 1783 and acted as Governor for almost nineteen years. For additional lots from the Fanning family please see lots 107 and 109.
