Condition

Overall in good original condition. As seen in the catalogue illustration, this sculpture is presently losing the painted decoration to the top portion of the head piece. We would recommend professional restoration of this sculpture to maintain as much of this coloration as possible. The arrow portion of the sculpture is presently detached from the figure and with evidence and glue residue from a previous amateur repair. The portion of the bow in the figure’s proper right hand is also presently detached and evidence of prior glue restoration. The extended arm of the figure is slightly loose to the touch. Please contact the department for additional photographs of these condition issues. Otherwise, the sculpture and base are in very good condition with some minute discolorations to the metal portions consistent with the natural aging process of the material. The ivory with a beautiful patina and is sensitively carved in this small scale example. Due to the fragile nature of this sculpture, special handling and/or packing may be required during the shipping process. Please inquire directly with the 20th Century Design or Post Sale Services Departments if you have any questions or require assistance regarding the shipping of this item.
