Condition

Overall in very good condition. The shade with approximately 3 cracks to the glass tiles dispersed throughout. The base displays an exceptionally rich russet brown and green patina and the stylized onion devices ornamenting the cushion base and oil font are crisply defined. The patinated bronze surfaces of the base with minimal light rubbing, a few occasional light surface scratches, and a few isolated areas of surface soiling consistent with age and gentle use. The base retains its original oil canister and shade arm collar. When this lamp was recently converted to electricity the riser and socket cluster were replaced, and period sockets and paddle switches were installed in the conversion. These components were sensitively patinated to match the patina on the base and oil canister. There is one area of patina loss on one of the socket arms, located on the interior curvature of the arm measuring 1 ΒΌ inches in length. There are some minor abrasion marks to the terminals of the shade arms from surface contact over the years with the shade. With replaced drop finial. When viewed in person, the greens, ambers and yellows in the shade are more vibrant and saturated than seen in the catalogue illustration. A fine example of the model.
