les Pallasites sont des météorites mixtes où l'on observe des cristaux d'olivine noyés dans une matrice de fer-nickel. Probablement l'une des plus belles météorites du monde, elle fut découverte en 1951 près de la ville d'Esquel par un fermier qui creusait une excavation afin de créer un étang pour son bétail. La tranche contient ici de grands cristaux d'olivine translucide séparés par de minces veines de métal formant ainsi un vitrail célébrant les fastes et la puissance de l'Univers.
Pallasites are a mix of meteorites where we find olivine crystals in the iron-nickel mold. Discovered in 1951, near Esquel, by a farmer digging for excavation to create a pond for his cattle, it one of the most beautiful Pallasites known in the world and the most exceptional for the specialists. This cut contains many large olivine crystals translucid by very thin veins of metal, forming a kind of stained glass window celebrating the splendours and the power of the universe.
