An Italian carved walnut cupboard, Tuscan comprising old elements

with a rectangular moulded top above a frieze drawer flanked by a grotesque mask, above a door applied with a lion mask enclosing a shelf flanked by a scrolled corbel above a male term in drapery above a seraphim with a gadrooned a foliate carved frieze on paw front feet and bracket rear feet

There is a shrinkage in the top revealing a construction crack towards the right side of the top with further cracks, scratches and stains. The handle on the drawer is probably a later addition. The moulding at the top of the door and lower border has been re-pinned leaving slight gaps where they join the rest of the moulding. Old minor restorations generally and hairline splits. There is a crack towards the base of the left side panel which will need filling. There is shrinkage on the left stile flanking the door with some losses to the moulding leaving a gap, as visible from photograph. There is a minor loss to the moulding on the left front corner. The front feet have been heightened and strengthened at the back as have the rear feet. In otherwise good restored condition.
