- Approximately: One panel 257cm. high, 289cm. wide; 8ft. 5in., 9ft. 5in.; Other panel: 256cm. high, 314cm. wide; 8ft. 4in., 10ft. 3in.
each panel comprised of joined vertical panels, painted with figures within architectural backgrounds, incorporating draped swags and delicate golden scrollwork across the top of each panel (Qty 2)
Condition
Decorative backdrops. Attractive scrollwork across the top. Backed with modern cotton lining, and with Velcro across the top for hanging purposes.Washes of paint on canvas and with some of background showing through, commensurate with technique.
One panel (257 x 289); illustrated on left hand side in catalogue. Comprised of five vertically joined strips. Old horizontal fold lines visible on close inspection.
Other panel (256 x 289); illustrated on right hand side in catalogue. Comprised of seven vertically joined strips. Two narrow vertical strips up the centre. Stepped tear above the dome of the central building, and small patched hole far right top right corner, in the sky area (both visible on close inspection in the photograph).
