- Approximately: 280cm. high, 462cm. wide; 9ft. 2in., 15ft. 2in.
woven with various classical figures in a landscape setting, within a four-sided border; with associated sections and border elements
Condition
With old hessian lining. The borders are sections from various other borders and the top border has sections which have been woven to be vertical borders and not horizontal borders as they have now become in being added to this tapestry. The same is the case along the left of the lower border. The left and right borders are vertical sections. Some sections of French 17th century borders. There are areas of weakness and repairs generally. Decorative backdrop.
