- stoneware
the rounded body shaped into eight lobes rising from a short foot to a tall cylindrical neck, the angled shoulders set with a strap handle and a cylindrical spout issuing from a dragon head, covered overall in an ivory glaze infused with a subtle network of golden brown cracks

Condition
The ewer has several areas of glaze pull along the edges of the angled shoulders (such as two unglazed areas each measuring 1.5 x 0.5cm near the dragon spout). The body have the ewer has a 3cm surface scratch just under the spout. The side of the handle has a 0.3 x 0.2cm uneven unglazed area, there is also a circa 1.5cm crack to where the handle is applied to the neck which is now covered by a transparent glaze. There are other glaze firing imperfections including iron spots, burst glaze bubbles, and subtle golden brown cracks.
