each well-modelled standing on a high rocky plinth with hands clasped at the chest, dressed in long flowing robes splashed in green, ochre and yellow glaze, the head and tall head gear unglazed

Condition
The two figures are in general good condition.
One of the figures has reasonable firing cracks across the surface of the figure including a circa 10cm crack with associated flakes running along the shoulder line. There is a 1 x 0.5cm kiln grit near the lower sleeve of the figure and at the sides of the rocky plinth. Areas of glaze flake is also evident (0.7 x 0.4cm and 0.4 x 0.3cm respectively) near the bottom of the figure.
The other figure has a circa 16cm glaze crack running horizontally across the lower sleeves of the figure. There is a 1.3 x 0.8cm glaze flake to the lower sleeve, two further flakes (0.8 x 0.2cm and 1 x 0.5cm) near the feet, a 0.7 x 0.5cm flake at the back, and other irregular areas of glaze loss around the foot of the plinth supporting the figure. The figure has a circa 12 x 2cm area to the back where the glaze is rubbed, revealing a coarse pottery surface which runs vertically from the waistline down to the hips of the figure.
