Description

  • grey jadeite
carved in the form of a duck supported on a splayed foot, its face, beak and plumage crisply accentuated with archaistic scrolls, its back set with a waisted neck and lipped rim flanked by archaistic dragon scrolls, the cover surmounted with a raised knob between two upright discs, the stone of even grey tone flecked with darker specks, wood stand

Condition

The censer is in excellent condition with the exception of very minor nibbles along the extremities of the carving. The stone is of a brighter tone compared to the catalogue illustration.
