the ovoid body rising from a recessed bast to a short tapering neck, moulded on each side with an applied C-shaped handle, the cover of shallow domed form, covered overall with a soft opaque sea-green glaze, the base with a six-character Qianlong seal mark
Condition
The jar and cover are in very good condition with the exception of a 4mm., area of polish to the rim of the jar and light glaze scratches to the jar and cover. It should be noted that the celadon glaze is of a slightly darker and warmer tone than the catalogue illustration would suggest.
