Description

shaped in the form of a large lingzhi fungus on a short gnarled stem, covered overall with a greyish-blue glaze thinning to brown at the edges and suffused with a subtle network of crackle, wood stand

Condition

The brushwasher is in good condition with the exception of a 2 x 1cm polished glaze chip on one of the scrolls of the lingzhi head which has now been paint over. There is minor glaze firing imperfections such as burst glaze bubbles and iron spots. The base has a systematic network of eighteen 'sesame seed' spur marks along the edges and in the centre.
