Description
- porcelain
of rectangular form with canted corners, the flat top supported on a similarly shaped apron and raised on four animal mask cabriole legs, covered overall with a rich dark aubergine glaze
Condition
The stand has several 0.1 x 0.1cm bumps (raised with the glaze running thin), extensive burst glaze bubbles and surface scratchings on the flat upper surface. There is a triangular (circa 2 x 0.5cm) area of loss on one side of the stand which is now glazed over. The base has a circa 3.5 x 3.5cm and another circa 1 x 1cm area where the glaze runs thin, revealing a canvas-like textured body in grey purple colour.
