Description

  • lacquer
the cusped circular top finely incised and painted with five scaly dragons in mutual pursuit of flaming pearls, all above a pierced waist and six long elegant cabriole legs each similarly decorated with dragons and flower scrolls and supported on a cusped circular base with four short ruyi feet

Condition

Chips and losses to lacquer to the undersides and lower sections of all of the ruyi feet. Further chips and losses to lacquer, primarily to the bottom of the apron and corners of the legs, and to a lesser extent around the rim of the circular top. One large crack across one of the pierced panels of the waist, measuring approximately 175mm across. Various other cracks to lacquer throughout.
