the flattened baluster body rising from a short spreading foot to a waisted neck with everted rim, finely and deeply carved around the body with two large scaly winged dragons amidst tumultuous foaming waves

Condition

The vase is in fair overall condition with the exception of loss to approximately a 1/4 of the banding at the base of the neck and restoration to approximately 3/4 of the waisted section of the neck, four minor vertical hairline age cracks to the body, a crescent-shaped hairline age crack at the rim and three short age cracks running over the flat rim down the side of the rim.
