Description
- Ceramic
well-potted, the generously swelling pear-shaped body rising from a short spreading foot to a tapering neck with broad everted rim, the exterior covered in a rich copper-red glaze, the interior and recessed base glaze white and with a six-character Qianlong seal mark
Condition
The vase is in god overall condition with the exception of overpainting at the foot to a circa 1x1cm., glaze flake, a 5mm., long firing glaze line to the base, a horizontal glaze scratch encircling the broadest part of the body and further minor glaze scratches around the body. It should be noted that the red glaze is of a slightly darker tone than the catalogue illustration would suggest.
