seated on a pierced throne rising from a crested waves, flanked on each side by a perched bird and an amphora, the goddess of compassion modeled with one arm resting on the knee, wearing a flowing robe with beaded necklaces falling across her upper body, her head adorned with an elaborate diadem, two small boys attending at her feet, covered overall with a rich celadon glaze and leaving the extremeties and face unglazed

Condition
There are several small areas of old discolored restoration to the top most section of the headdress, one section of the right of the headdress and two sections on the left. There is restoration to a small section of the beaded tassel on the lower right of the figure and a piece of rockwork which it is connected to has been broken off and restuck. The hands of the boy on the figure's left are restored and the leaf of which the lower boy is sitting is restored along the leading edge. The figure's left earlobe is chipped away. There is a small area of restoration to the vase on the left which also may be missing an element. One of the waves on the base is a made up restoration. There is a small chip to the edge of right hand boy's robe. There is some crackling to the biscuit face and neck of the figure.
