Description
- Huanghuali wood
each with a sinuous U-shaped crestrail terminating in everted rounded handrests, above an unadorned S-shaped splat flanked by rounded front and back corner posts continuing through the rectangular cane seat to the front and back legs with a curved support set between them, a continuous lattice pattern apron below attached to the upper legs at the front and sides, with curved apron footrests and stretchers connecting the bottoms legs (2)

Condition
The soft cane seats have been replaced by hard cane seats. The aprons under the footrest have been replaced on both chairs. The first chair has a replaced splat and part of the top of the crestrail replaced. The second chair has old repairs to the crestrail at the joints. The splat is original with a 1 cm chip to the corner of the base. There is an old split to the front right foot and a 5 cm fill to the back lower stretcher.
The overall condition is quite good.
