Description

  • huanghuali wood
the rectangular beaded top above a narrow waist and apron of arched, curvilinear form with beaded edge, the inner corners with curled leaf motifs, continuing onto cabriole legs terminating in curled feet

Sotheby's New York, 31st May and 1st June 1994, lot 569.

Condition

There is some discoloration and shallow losses to the top of the table. Two of the tips of the feet have been restored. There are several thin restored patches to the beaded edge of the top, the longest about 4 inches. The apron on one of the short sides of the table has three restored patches, the largest approximately 5 inches. Some of the joints have been reglued and stabilized. There are some minor fills to some of the minor gaps / splits.
