the shallow rounded sides carved with a wide taotie band above a keyfret ground, supported by three cabriole legs issuing from animal masks, all below a waisted neck bordered by a keyfret band flanked by a pair of archaistic scroll handles, the domed cover further decorated with a band of ruyi-heads enclosing shou characters in between dangling ruyi-head form chimes, topped with a hollow everted knop, the stone of even white tone, wood stand (3)

Condition

In overall good condition. There is a 2 inch area with some mottled brown inclusions. There is a 1/8 inch bruise to the mouthrim of the cover. The actual color of the piece is more celadon than shown in the catalogue.
