Condition
Overall the condition of the bronze is very good with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. The piece has been cast in sections and there are a number of slightly visible stable original casting joints, for example at the rear proper left leg of the horse and at the horse's tail. There is a screw in the horse's belly and two small pins under the rider's stirrups. There are a few spots of greening and a small orange sticker on the right side of the base. There is a loss to the chain around the horse's mouth.
