Condition
Overall the condition of the bronze is very good. There is some minor wear to the patina, particularly to the golden patina. There is some very minor black spotting, for example at the forehead.

Catalogue Note
This rare bronze unusally depicts Joan of Arc emprisoned, rather than in the more recognisable guise of a victorious warrior, clad in armour. A marble version of the model, location now unknown, was purchased by the French state in 1920.
