Overall the condition of the bronze is very good with dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There are a few small flecks of paint and dirt at the chest and proper left shoulder, and a few minor spots of greening including. There is a small dent to the top of the head.The figure is slightly loose on the base at the foot, but is stable. The joint is visible here. There are a number of other visible stable casting joints, including at the proper right thigh, at the abdomen and at the arms. There is a visible original casting plug at the underside of the proper right thigh. The proper right index finger is bent. The condition of the marble base is good.
