- signed: CCordier and dated: 1856 ALGER
- white marble on an associated red veined marble socle
Condition
There is mottled discolouration to the marble as visible in the catalogue photograph. This discolouration is particularly evident at the lower parts of the drapery at the front and the back of the headscarf.There is some minor, naturally occuring dark veining throughout. There is dirt and wear to the surface including an area of wear to the end of the nose and a few small nicks and scratches to other parts. The base is associated and has been reworked, there is evidence of re-cutting and restoration.
