Condition
This work is in very good condition overall. There is evidence of light wear and handling at the edges and corners. There are scattered pinpoint spot accretions which fluoresce brightly under ultraviolet light. There is evidence of fine and stable craquelure in the areas where the glue was more thickly applied. Under ultraviolet light inspection there is no evidence of restoration. Unframed.

Catalogue Note
"In his oeuvre, Lee Ufan is able to bring structures of coexistence to light with relatively simple resources, so that these structures refer beyond the tangible. The open relationship to the other and unknown that he seeks cannot, however, be fixed as a state, but rather requires of the artist as well as the viewer a special openness, an effort to bring about an encounter and dialogue whicd must be constanly renewed." (Exh. Cat., Los Angeles, Blum & Poe, Lee Ufan, 2009, p. 12)
