Condition: This work is in good condition. There is minor wear to the corners of the canvas. Colour: The catalogue illustration is very accurate; however, the tonality on the top left corner is lighter on the actual work with softer purples.

Untitled, the earliest work by Mubin, as he used his name in France, from the Daniel Gervis Collection, is a testament to the artist's mastery of Lyrical Abstract Expressionism. The composition is perfectly balanced with beautiful colours heavy with oranges, greens and purples. There is not an area on the canvas that is not filled with the artist's layered, sensual brushstrokes. It is a remarkable painting by a great modern artist from the outstanding Gervis Collection which represents the quintessence of Mubin's complete oeuvre, a culmination of the evolution of his career.
