  • Executed circa 1959, these are the original drawings commissioned for an advertising campaign for Martell Brandy.

Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the paper tone is warmer in the original. Condition: Both works are in very good condition. Each sheet is laid down to their respective backing boards. (i) Visible beneath the mount, there is scattered glue residue along all four edges. There is a very light handling mark to the centre of the left edge and a few scattered light rubs in a few places. There is a tiny media accretion to the tip of the shoe. (ii) Visible beneath the mount, there is very light time staining along all four edges. There are a few scattered rub marks in places and a tiny spot of foxing to the figure's knee.
