Description

each finely potted with thin flaring sides rising from a low foot, the exterior decorated with four iron-red stylised lotus blossoms borne on underglaze-blue foliate sprays, the underside inscribed in underglaze blue with a six-character reign mark within a double-square

Condition

The overall condition of the pair is very good, and the iron-red decoration is well preserved. There is only a shallow nick of about 0.6 cm to the foot of one cup, possibly developed from firing cracks.
