Description

the rounded bombé sides rising from a short tapered foot to a waisted neck flanked by two loop handles, all covered in a thick even sky-blue glaze suffused with a fine network of crackles, the base inscribed with a six-character reign mark in underglaze blue

Condition

There are two restored hairlines, with the longest measuring 5 cm, to the mouth. Sections of the rim have been slightly restored, possibly to stabilise some glaze flakes. There is a potting flaw with a shallow depression of about 0.5 x 1 cm to the exterior. The glaze of a soft blue tone is nicely applied and suffused with a dense network of crackles.
