Description

  • Quran inside steel box
Arabic manuscript on paper, 194 leaves, 17 lines to the page written in minute Ghubari script in black ink, unilluminated, brown morocco binding with central tooled rosettes with vestiges of gilding, accompanying octagonal case with top and bottom panels pierced to form a rigorous pattern of interlacing split-palmettes, side panels engraved with foliate designs with some gilding, bird-form catch replaced 

Condition

In good overall condition, case slightly rubbed around sides, Qur'an with some stains to outer margins, otherwise good, as viewed.
