Arabic manuscript on paper, 39 leaves, 5 lines to the page, written in bold Muhaqqaq script in black ink, verses separated by gold flowerheads, marginal medallions in colours and gold marking hizb and `ashr divisions, opening illuminated double-page with juz` title in white Thuluth reserved against blue-ground panels with gold flowers, medallions extending into the margins outlined in blue, contemporary Mamluk brown morocco binding with pressure-moulded doublures with a complex design of scrolling vines, outer boards with a central medallion on one side and a geometric motif on the other, each comprising stellar motifs, with flap

in good overall condition, some pages thumbed, a few paper repairs, binding slightly worn and repaired, ink bold and illumination bright, as viewed.
