Arabic manuscript on paper, 31 leaves, 7 lines to the page written in fine Rayhani script in black ink on pink paper, 'Allah' picked out in gold throughout, verses separated by gadrooned gold florets pointed in red and blue, large gold roundels outlined in blue in the margins marking textual divisions, opening folio with large illuminated headpiece and roundel containing a pious phrase and juz title, further opening double-page illuminated frontispiece comprising panels with large Thuluth script in white against blue-ground cartouches filled with scrolling flowers, contemporary brown morocco binding tooled and gilt-stamped with central roundel containing geometric stellar motifs punched with gold dots, stencilled doublures, with flap
Condition
In generally good overall condition, opening two leaves with lower marginal repair, slightly thumbed, pages generally clean and ink bold, a few minor stains and smudges, binding with repair to edges and some abrasions, as viewed.
