- Ink & Gold on Vellum
text: surah al-furqan (XXV), parts of verses 53 to the end; surah al-shu'ara (XXVI), verses 1 to parts of verse 12
Arabic manuscript on vellum, 16 lines to the page, written in elongated Kufic script in brown ink, vocalisation in red, fifth verses marked by a stylised letter 'ha' in gold, tenth verses marked by a gold floret with a blue centre, f.2b with a surah heading in gold with an elaborate floral medallion stretching into the wide outer margin

Condition
In good overall condition, a few mild creases, calligraphy slightly more faded to inside pages, gold bright, as viewed.
