Description

text: surah al-zariyat (LI), part of verse 19 to surah al-tur (LII), end of verse 37
Arabic manuscript on vellum, 9 lines to the page, written in Kufic script in brown ink, verses separated by small vertical rows of four dashes, vocalisation marked by red, yellow and blue dots, fifth verses marked by small floral illuminations, tenth verses marked by larger quatrefoil motifs in blue, red and yellow, one leaf with a red and yellow surah heading, wide outer margins

Condition

In good overall condition, slight fading to the ink, although mostly bold on both sides of the vellum, a few minor stains, as viewed.
