Condition

Executed on beige wove paper, not laid down. The sheet is fixed to the mount along the upper and lower edges. A close inspection reveals a tiny restored hole near the upper left edge and a 2mm tear with an associated minor flattened crease towards the centre of the right edge. There are two distinct small areas of surface rubbing of the paper demonstrating 'pentimenti', certainly inherent to the artistic process, revealing minor modifications to the composition, further shown by some ink additions by the artist in these areas. Apart from some light time-staining and a very few miniscule spots of foxing (barely visible to the eye), this work is in very good condition.
