Condition
Executed on white laid paper, laid down on thick paper. The edges are very slightly irregular, as though the sheet was cut by hand, although this is not visible when framed. A close inspection reveals two small restored tears, of 4cm and 1cm, in the upper right corner and three tiny restored tears along the left edge. There is a small water-stain visible towards the lower right corner. Apart from some light general time-staining and a few scattered light spots of foxing, notably on the handle of the rightmost object, his work is in good condition.
Please note that the original paper is much less pink, more cream, in colour that it appears in the catalogue illustration. Please refer to the e-catalogue at www.sothebys.com for a more faithful image.
