Condition

The colours are fairly accurate in the catalogue illustration although the overall tonality is lighter in the original. The work is executed on its original canvas and is not relined. A very few thin cracks, mainly in the light purple impasto area located approx. 64 cm from the upper edge and 35 cm from the left edge are only visible under very close inspection. Some tiny scattered dots of oxidation (less than 7 in total) are only visible under very close inspection. Under UV light, two very tiny losses of paint fluoresce : one located 6 cm from the right edge and 74 cm from the upper edge, the other located approx. 4,5 cm from the right edge and 17 cm from the upper edge. This work is in excellent condition.
