Condition

The colours are fairly accurate in the catalogue illustration, although the overall tonality is lighter in the original. The work is in very good condition. The lower edge is irregularly cut. The silk is very slighty wavy.

Dire qu'il habite la maison depuis plus d'un demi-siècle, montant et descendant chaque jour l'escalier, sans qu'il lui soit jamais venu à l'esprit de regarder à travers en levant la tête ou en guettant le retour d'un être aimé dans la cage..."
