Description

  • An Attic Black-figured Column Krater, Tyrrhenian Group
  • Terracotta
  • Height 9 7/8 in. 25.1 cm.
painted on one side with a rooster standing between confronted sphinxes, and on the other with a rooster between confronted panthers, a swan beneath each handle and on each handle-plate, dashes on top of the rim, the details in added red and white.

Repaired from fragments, with minor restorations along some of the break lines, minor chips and nicks, the added red and white in good condition.
